Description

Higher Degree by Research Health Sciences Student Association (HDR-HeSSA) is a student-led and staff-supported organisation that aims to give HDR students a voice, support, sense of community, and opportunities to meet and socialise with other students and staff in the School of Health Sciences.

HeSSA will host regular social events in a casual environment including mini-conferences, symposiums, networking nights, writing retreats, trivia nights, picnic lunches etc. Unlike most associations, members of HeSSA (membership is free!) can help shape the exact nature of these events to tailor their needs. For example, holding symposiums to practice confirmation presentations and receiving valuable feedback from academic staff in your field.
