Swinburne Student Life presents: Phillip Island Daytrip October
Location:Departing from outside ATC, Burwood rd, Hawthorn campus
Here's another chance to see a primo slice of Victoria in the spring
Phillip Island is known for its beauty, and wildlife - and this is your chance to see the best of it!
This rugged island is home to little penguins, wallabies, migrating mutton birds, whales and fur seals – most of which come to life around sunset every night of the year! We'll watch as hundreds of Little Penguins return to their nests after sunset in groups, making their way up the beach. We'll get within 50cm of these amazing sea birds as they return from feeding and catching pilchards, octopus, and shrimp in the Antarctic Ocean, some taking them home to feed their family.
Our friendly local staff will guide you along a beautiful coastline walk, before hitting up and sliding down some of the largest sand dunes in the country. You'll soak up the late summer sun and get the REAL experience of Aussie life that Phillip Island is known for!
