Our guest speakers will be Swinburne students, alumni, and staff, as well as high-profile personalities and members of the community.
Gerard Holland After over a decade in the corporate world including Pitcher Partners and Royal Bank of Scotland, Gerard left the comfort of a full-time job as a chartered accountant in 2015 to pursue his own business ventures. Outcome. Life was born out of a passion to empower international students to make better education decisions. A couple of years on, the business has pivoted to its current form of solving the problem of international graduate employability. Simultaneously, Gerard has also co-founded Pleased.Property and GADA Technology.
Matthew Boyd is the Founder and Managing Director of Vollie, a platform that connects skilled Australians with non-profit organisations to unlock skills-based remote volunteering. Matt has close to a decade of experience working with non-profits, having helped to raise more than $1 million in funding and volunteer value across children’s charities, mental health NFPs, animal welfare groups, environmental charities and more. He has experience in ad agencies, past start-ups (not his own) and across a number of corporate gigs.
Swachchanda Awasare is currently working as a Lead Business Analyst at NBN Co. In this role, her main focus is to define high-level business requirements and end-to-end business solution architecture (IT, Engineering, Operations, and Construction). Swachchanda also educates cross-functional stakeholders in Agile processes leading them to make empowered decisions. Swachchanda is also an Empowerment Coach at Athena Institute of Healing Arts specializing in the area of self-awareness, self-development, and relationships. She has a knack for explaining spiritual concepts in a simple manner backed by scientific facts. She provides practical tools for people to use in daily life and help them to make empowered decisions.
