SBC @ UniGames
UniGames are coming up, and in conjunction with them are the UAC's for Surfing. Registration will end on the 25th of August, after this rego prices will jump up. Rego for surfing is $125 (cheaper than other sports)
Cost covers 6 nights accommodation during the Australian University Games in the Gold Coast. Included in the payment for this product is: a polo shirt and merchandise. Accommodation needs to be paid by 8 September.

Check in: After 2pm (Note: Surfing is only held over 3 days, 25th-27th, and if you wish you can head home earlier, however none of the accommodation payment will be discounted or refunded)
Flights are pay and find your own, we need to arrive on Sunday, and can head off whenever we like after Wednesday
SBC Member Benefit:
For the first 5 members who register to compete and pay for flights, SBC will partially refund the cost of the flight up there (up to $180), the flight back will be out of your own pocket.
You will also need to pay a “sports equipment” baggage fee to get your surfboard up there, this must also be paid for by yourself. To receive the refund, the payment invoice for the flight listed below must be sent to email@example.com, along with your full name, student number, mobile number and postal address.
A sundry refund will be sent to this address within 2 months.

When going through the registration, you will be prompted to create an account and enter your details (unless you have competed at UniGames before and have an account already), you will then need to select “Swinburne University of Technology” when selecting a University, and “Surfing (AUC)” when selecting a sport.
You then need to “Select a Team” and then “Join an Existing Team”.
Search for our team by entering the team code “surf17”.
(NOTE: During this a page will show up with ‘registration costs’. Disregard this as the prices are for other sports, and surfing is cheaper)
After joining a team, you will need to select you division. Divisions are: Stand Up (shortboard), Long Board, and Body Board.
You can select any or multiple of these as you wish. There is also a teams challenge, with a minimum of 3 competitors (with at least 1 female), if you wish to compete in this, let us know before selecting “YES” for this division as well.
Transport for surfing down to the Casuarina Coast will be available from the central hub at Surfers Paradise and should run something along the lines of:
• Leave at 6am
• Return at 3pm
The $55 Transport pass will need to be purchased when registering, or can be arranged to be purchased afterwards if you already have.
NON-COMPETITORS / SPECTATORS:
If you’re not interested in surfing but would still like to come along, there is an option for you to come along to cheer on and support the team. However, accommodation for student noncompetitors is $300, and you will not be eligible for the subsidised flights. Contact Swinburne Student Life for more details on non-competitors
