Swinburne Burmese Student Association was established as a social club where Burmese students communicate and support each other.

Description

The Swinburne Burmese Student Association was established in 2017 with the aim to bring together students from Myanmar and the wider Swinburne student community to share culture, promote diversity and celebrate the beautiful cultural heritage of the diverse ethnic groups in Myanmar. The SBSA club membership is open to all Swinburne students to join. We look to run about 3-4 events per semester to engage with the members, which will involve –

1st Semester
• Welcome back BBQ – 2nd week of March
• Mid semester catch up – Mid semester break
• Celebrate end of Semester / Acknowledging graduating students – Last week of Semester

2nd Semester
• Welcome back BBQ – 1st Week September
• Burmese Movie nite - Mid semester break
• Melbourne Cup picnic – Melbourne Cup Day
• End of Year / AGM – Mid Nov
